Buying a thermowood barrel sauna

Modified pine

Heat treatment changes the physical properties of the wood. This makes the wood much more durable and resistant to moisture. You can recognize it by its dark color and knots.

Due to the very low humidity in Thermowood beams, a maximum of beams can be used to complete the circle during installation. The beams will expand under the influence of moist outside air, causing the barrel to tighten itself and is therefore less sensitive to rainwater seeping in.

Western Canadian Red Cedar
