Softsauna
A soft sauna, wet sauna or bio sauna uses lower temperatures and higher humidity.
In a soft sauna the temperatures are usually 50-60 ° C and the humidity 60-80%.
The air feels softer and therefore less sharp than in a Finnish sauna with high & dry temperatures.
The high humidity can help, whether or not in combination with aromas
with a cold by opening the airways again.
Moistier
A soft sauna can be obtained in different ways. Choose a traditional sauna heater with lots of stones. The more stones, the longer water can be evaporated. With smaller sauna heaters, with fewer stones, you can use water bowls that are placed on or between the stones.
Softer air
Or opt for ultimate convenience with an automatic nebulizer that is placed above the sauna heater. This way you can spray water over the sauna stones, either automatically or with a simple push of a button. This system can also be combined with automatic aroma dosing.
A combination heater is a sauna heater with an integrated water reservoir. Thanks to smart controls, the temperature and humidity are kept constant at a preset value.
Healing effect
With soft saunas, we recommend treating your benches and walls with a moisture-repellent product specially developed for saunas and based on natural ingredients. Canadian Cedar is also an extremely suitable type of wood for the walls in a damp sauna. Keep in mind the typical scent of cedar if you like to experiment with aromatherapy.
