Custom combi sauna with Harvia sauna stove, infrared and symmetrical benches
For this realization, we designed and installed a stylish custom combination sauna, where a traditional Finnish sauna and infrared therapy come together. The design is characterized by a sleek, symmetrical layout, natural wood tones, and a thoughtful combination of ambient lighting and modern sauna technology.
The result is a pleasant wellness space where comfort, functionality, and timeless design are central.
Symmetrical sauna layout with double benches
One of the most striking features of this sauna is the symmetrical arrangement of the benches. On either side of the central sauna stove are wide sauna benches, allowing multiple people to comfortably enjoy a sauna session together.
The benches are finished with carefully selected wooden slats. The integrated ergonomic backrests and matching headrests provide extra seating comfort while relaxing.
The double bench arrangement optimally utilizes the available space without losing the interior's open and calm appearance.
Harvia sauna stove as a central design element
Centrally located in the sauna is a cylindrical Harvia sauna stove, filled with sauna stones. The open metal structure gives the stove a distinctive character and ensures it beautifully complements the warm wooden interior.
The central placement makes the sauna stove the visual focal point of the space. Moreover, it forms the heart of the traditional Finnish sauna experience, where the combination of heat and steam creates an authentic sauna experience.
Infrared sauna with integrated infrared heater
In addition to the traditional sauna stove, this combo sauna is equipped with a separate infrared heater.
The infrared heater is integrated into a wooden protective structure that beautifully matches the rest of the sauna interior. This maintains the sleek lines and incorporates the infrared technology in a well-designed manner.
The controls are discreetly integrated into the wooden wall and are within easy reach. This allows the infrared function to be easily adjusted.
Thanks to this combination, the sauna offers two different wellness options: a traditional Finnish sauna session or a session with infrared heat..
Warm indirect lighting for a pleasant atmosphere
The lighting plays an important role in the design. Indirect LED lighting has been integrated behind the backrests, creating a soft glow over the wooden wall.
Lighting has also been provided under the sauna benches. This creates a subtle floating effect and emphasizes the horizontal lines of the interior.
In combination with the warm wood color, a calming atmosphere is created in which lighting and architecture enhance each other.
A thoughtful design down to the details
The access to the sauna has also been carefully designed. The glass sauna door with a wooden frame forms a beautiful transition between the surrounding space and the warm sauna interior.
The wooden ceiling, the continuous wall cladding, and the precise finishing create a harmonious whole. Each component contributes to the coherence between the design and usability.
Finnish sauna and infrared in one custom sauna
With this realization, we combine the traditional Finnish sauna with the possibilities of infrared in one integrated solution.
The central Harvia sauna stove, the double sauna benches, ergonomic backrests, and integrated ambient lighting make this sauna a functional and pleasant wellness space.
A beautiful example of a custom sauna where layout, material choice, and technology are fully aligned.
