In a traditional Finnish sauna the air in the cabin is heated to 80-100°C with a stove. If you wish, you pour water over the sauna stones to briefly increase the humidity. The hot air makes you sweat. The heat opens the pores, which allows dirt and sebum to leave the skin more easily. The skin is cleansed from the inside, as it were. Alternating between hot and cold stimulates the blood circulation. This contributes to suppler skin.

Other studies show that regular use of the sauna can improve your night's rest. A Finnish sauna is built on two or more levels in order to create different temperature zones. The higher you sit, the higher the temperature. A Finnish sauna can be built entirely to your wishes.
